The UNESCO protected hamlet of Perast has been conserved from modern development and is largely pedestrianized.  Popular with high-end real-estate buyers, this small waterside town features Venetian design and includes 16 palaces and 19 churches.  Two picturesque chapels are built on nearby islets, St. George and Our Lady of the Rocks.
